Richmond police are asking for the public’s assistance to help locate suspects connected to a shooting Friday night that injured three teenagers and one adult after a rivalry football game at De Anza High.
Officers responded to a fight that broke out shortly after the game ended between De Anza and Pinole Valley High about 9:20 p.m., when multiple groups of people were leaving the game. As the officers approached the scene, shots were fired in the 3300 block of Morningside Drive, police said.
Two teenage victims were located at the scene and transported to the hospital while a third teenager was self transported to a hospital, police said. Two of the teens are in serious condition and the third was treated and released. Two of the teens were De Anza students, while a third was a student at a nearby private school, according to West Contra Costa Unified Superintendent Matthew Duffy.
“A dark colored sedan was seen leaving the scene immediately after the shooting. We are looking for witnesses and or/ residences/businesses that have video surveillance near the shooting scene,” police said.
A video of the suspect vehicle is posted on Favebook.
