A person was fatally struck by a train at the BART El Cerrito del Norte Station Monday morning, leading to temporary closure of the station as well as the Richmond station, according to BART.
The transit agency reported in the incident at about 7:30 a.m. As of 11 a.m., both stations had reopened.
AC Transit provided service during the station closures.
The person who died has not yet been identified.
