A Richmond police officer witnessed a hit-and-run collision that injured a pedestrian at 23rd street and Macdonald Avenue, then made an arrest.
The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. when the police officer saw the car strike the pedestrian and leave the scene, police Capt. Al Walle said. The victim was treated for minor injuries.
“The officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the motorist for felony hit & run and DUI,” Walle said, adding, “The suspect had a .21 BAC.”
