Fundraiser launched for family of 1-year-old Noah Cordier

A gofundme fundraiser was launched for the  family of Noah Cordier, the 1-year-old boy from Sacramento who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Richmond on Nov. 25.

The child was struck by a vehicle on Cutting Boulevard near 17th Street at about 11:30 a.m., police said. He subsequently passed away at a hospital.

The driver, identified as 31-year-old Sylvia Welch of Richmond, was arrested a few miles from the scene and charged with multiple felony counts, including driving under the influence.

The community is in mourning following the incident. Noah’s mother started an online fundraiser in the wake of the tragedy.

“I thank you for all support,” she said in the fundraiser, adding Noah “received his wings early, God bless.”
