A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed Jamaa Anderson on Oct. 31 in Richmond, police said.
Thadeus Colley has been charged in connection with the incident, which occurred in the 3100 block of Deseret Drive, in the area of El Sobrante, at about 1:40 a.m.
When police responded to the scene, Anderson, a Richmond resident, was found with a gunshot wound and then transported to the hospital, where he died.
Richmond police have not disclosed further details, saying only that it was a “difficult investigation.”
“Due to the community support, great teamwork, and very experienced detectives, the victims family will have closure,” police said.
The incident marked the city’s 16th homicide of 2018.
