We’ve learned more this week about Catahoula Coffee Company owner Tim “Timber” Manhart’s plans to open a cafe and beer spot in Point Richmond.
The Point Richmond Social Club at 401 S. Garrard Blvd. — located at the site of a brand new 27-unit rental housing complex called The Point — aims to offer a “unique cafe concept” with both indoor and outdoor seating, featuring Catahoula Coffee and Ridgeback Brewing Company on tap, according to city planning documents.
The 1,131-square-foot space aims to provide “coffee, espresso, breakfast food, pastries and juices starting at 7 a.m., then food such as sandwiches, soup, salads, pretzels, charcuterie plate, dessert and artisan craft beer from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.,” the documents stated.
The business will employ an estimated 10 people.
At its Thursday meeting, the Planning Commission is scheduled to review a request by Manhart for a conditional use permit to operate Point Richmond Social Club as a restaurant with outdoor seating that serves beer and wine.
