National Night Out on Tuesday night in Richmond is set to kick off with a celebration in the parking lot at Target and conclude with an ending celebration at The Shops at Hilltop.
The kick off event starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Target at 4500 Macdonald Ave. with a community gathering featuring free hotdogs and hamburgers for the first 250 attendees and kids activities.
From there, a Community Caravan will visit National Night Out parities all over town. See below for the list of parties being held community-wide.
The Richmond event will include with an End Party at JC Penney, lower level, at The Shops Hilltop.
Also, the San Pablo Police Department, in partnership with the City of San Pablo and San Pablo Economic Development Corporation, will hold the city’s first National Night Out Community Celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 5 p.m. to 8 pm, at the San Pablo Community Center, 2450 Road 20.
National Night Out is held annually on the first Tuesday in August in cities across the nation as a way to build bonds between neighbors, police officers and firefighters, and to increase crime prevention and safety awareness. It does so through the organization of block parties throughout the community.
