A Bay Area man who found a vintage gold wedding ring on a Point Richmond beach is trying to find its owner.
The story of the ring dating back to 1949 began on the beach just north of Keller Beach Park, moved onto social media and is now being told widely by multiple media organizations, including ABC7 Bay Area.
Richard Grassetti found the ring several months ago on a shoreline he’s been visiting throughout his life, according to ABC7. Inscribed in the ring: “From now to Eternity Lily 5-1-49.” Eventually a friend, Christina Toms, shared images of the ring on social media in an effort to find the owner.
Toms told ABC7: “It’s really blown up. And I think people are invested in it and hopefully we’ll find the family to whom the ring belongs.”
