Richmond Trees is inviting community volunteers to its next tree planting event on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Volunteers are encouraged to meet at 9 a.m. at Burg Park, 2910 Clinton Ave. before heading out into the neighborhood to plant.
All ages are welcome, and volunteers are asked to bring water, work gloves and your favorite tools if you have them. Tools will be available to share for those who don’t have them. Snacks and coffee will be provided to volunteers.
Richmond Trees is on a mission to grow a healthy urban forest that covers at least 40-percent of the city and is cared for by partnerships between community organizations and the City of Richmond. To learn more, visit its website here.
