Kennedy High alums to celebrate 50th anniversary with campus visit, party

Richmond church 'adopts' three schools

Kennedy High graduates are in for a fun couple of days as they launch into celebrations for the school’s 50th anniversary.

A main event will be the all-years reunion being held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Emeryville.

But the Eagles will be soaring with activities all weekend, which include the Hall of Fame inductions of the North Coast Section championship football teams from 1984-85 and 1988-89.

And on Friday, about two dozen alumni will return to the campus to visit current students and relive their fondest high school memories. They will visit classrooms and talk about their careers and life choices. Former students will also be led on a school tour by Principal Phil Johnson.
