Local youth anxious about the S.A.T. college admission test will rest easier when they’re prepared.
College-bound students in West Contra Costa County are encouraged to apply for the Richmond Public Library Teen Services’ 19th annual S.A.T. Preparation Workshop, a six-week course that costs just $50.
Participating in the workshop, which runs in March and April, can be used to fulfill the college readiness requirement for the Richmond Promise Scholarship Program, which offers up to $1,500 annually to all college-bound high school seniors living in Richmond.
Enrollment is limited and applications are due Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m.
For more information and an application, go to www.richmondlibrary.org or contact Angela Cox at (510) 620-5516.
The workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Richmond Public Library in partnership with College is Real.
