Richmond Public Library offering six-week S.A.T preparation workshop to local youth

The Richmond Public Library is launching a new and exciting product called Knowledge City!
The Richmond Public Library is located at 450 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond.

Local youth anxious about the S.A.T. college admission test will rest easier when they’re prepared.

College-bound students in West Contra Costa County are encouraged to apply for the Richmond Public Library Teen Services’ 19th annual S.A.T. Preparation Workshop, a six-week course that costs just $50.

Participating in the workshop, which runs in March and April, can be used to fulfill the college readiness requirement for the Richmond Promise Scholarship Program, which offers up to $1,500 annually to all college-bound high school seniors living in Richmond.

Enrollment is limited and applications are due Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m.

For more information and an application, go to or contact Angela Cox at (510) 620-5516.

The workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Richmond Public Library in partnership with College is Real.
