A Richmond cannabis dispensary that is offering cannabis products for just one cent to vaccinated customers, and is also hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in partnership with Contra Costa County, is inviting the community to its “710 event” on Saturday, July 10.

7 Stars Holistic Healing Center is hosting the “710 event,” which aims to celebrate cannabis concentrate products and educate people about their medical benefits, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at its location at 3219 Pierce St. in Richmond.

If penny cannabis products aren’t enough incentive to get the vaccine, the 710 event will also have free tacos, Keef root beer floats, Humboldt Farms’ popsicles, fresh fruit, raffle prizes and cannabis product vendors on hand as well, said organizers.

The dispensary’s vaccination campaign kicked off June 2, according to 7 Stars, which said that more than 500 people have gotten vaccinated and received the reward. The business is hosting the clinic so that even more community members can “one stop shop” for vaccinations and the reward. The vaccines are free and an insurance card is not required. Those previously vaccinated just need to show their COVID-19 vaccination card to redeem the offer.

“We are so happy with the impact we’ve made in our community by providing this vaccine incentive, and we want to encourage more people to take this positive step for the health of our community,” said Zee Handoush, executive director of 7 Stars.

Community members who can’t attend the scheduled clinic can set up a vaccine appointment via the call center at 1-833-829-2626 or online at cchealth.org. According to 7 Stars, the cannabis product incentive is available in-store only (see official rules for details).
