One of the most patriotic and purposeful Veterans Day events in the Bay Area happens, fittingly, on Richmond’s historic waterfront, where more ships were built than any other shipyard during WWII.
On Friday, Nov. 9, the community is invited to the Craneway Pavilion at 1414 Harbour Way S. for a free, entertaining, patriotic event that provides important resources for veterans from Richmond and throughout the Bay Area.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the public will have an opportunity to honor and thank those who have served our country and risked their lives for the freedom we enjoy and cherish. Veterans who attend will have access to a number of important resources specifically for them. Both local and regional organizations will hold a Veterans Expo bringing general support as well as workforce development opportunities after military service.
Also, the event, sponsored annually by Chevron, will feature compelling storytelling about Richmond’s rich history of supporting national war efforts, and appearances and speeches from community leaders and elected officials. You’ll enjoy delicious food from a veteran-owned business.
