Genre-bending bands at season’s final Point Richmond Music summer concert

The last concert of the Point Richmond Music free summer concert series will feature two genre-bending bands, Achilles Wheel and Ruckatan Latin Tribe.

The show is set for Friday, Sept. 14, on the corner of Park Place and Washington Avenue.

Achilles Wheel, a California-based rock band, will open at 5:30 p.m., blending old and new school styles andRoots and World Music Rockadelia.

Taking the stage from 6:45-7:45 p.m. is Ruckatan Latin Tribe, a seven-member band from three different continents that fuses Latin and Reggae influences.

In addition to the music, concert attendees can enjoy the festival’s arts and crafts booths, face-painting, and plentiful downtown restaurants along with food trucks.

Concert-goers can pair food with beverages from Point Richmond Music’s no-host bar, with proceeds directly supporting the free music series.

Festival-style seating is available with a limited number of chairs provided, and concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own festival/lawn chairs.
