The community is invited to attend the 9th Annual North Richmond Music Festival this Saturday at Shields-Reid Park.
Per usual, the free festival, sponsored by the City of Richmond and Chevron Richmond, will feature a wide variety of fun for the whole family from noon to 6 p.m.
The festival’s lengthy list of musical performances includes Chosen Wonders, Caravan of All Stars, Oakland Blues Divas and Black Cat Zydeco. There will be a ton of activities for kids, such as a jumper, pony rides, games and face-painting, organizers said.
Those who show up from noon to 3 p.m. can enjoy a free lunch.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite lawn chair to further enjoy this annual celebration of North Richmond’s rich musical heritage.
Due to the festival, Kelsey Street between Alamo and Chesley avenues will be closed to traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., according to the Richmond Fire Department.
