Last month, the famous Maria Muldaur successfully kicked off the annual free summer concert series by Point Richmond Music — but the fun is only beginning.
The second concert of the summer in Point Richmond’s historic downtown is set for this Friday, July 13 — and it’s going to be an eclectic mix of musical genres.
The summer-long street series runs on the second Friday of the month through September in downtown Point Richmond, Park Place between West Richmond and Washington Avenues.
Along with free music, the concert feature an opportunity drawing, arts and education booths, face-painting for children and dancing in the streets.
Local restaurants offer a wide array of cuisines, and a rotating selection of food trucks pull up to each concert.
PRM encourages attendees to visit its no-host bar, with proceeds directly supporting the music series. While festival-style seating is available, a limited number of chairs are provided and so concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own. For more information, visit www.pointrichmondmusic.org.
