Maria Muldaur and her Red Hot Bluesiana Band are set to kick off the 2018 free summer concert series this Friday, June 8.
Enjoy a free concert with high energy New Orleans blues, R&B and swamp funk from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in historic downtown Point Richmond — at the corner of Park Place and Washington Avenue.
Point Richmond Music concerts are held on the second Friday of each month, June through September, from 5:30 pm to 8 p.m. See the flier below for the full schedule.
Every concert features an opportunity drawing, arts and crafts booths, face-painting for children and dancing in the streets. Attendees can grab a bite at local restaurants as well as a rotating selection of food trucks. Also, concertgoers are encouraged to purchase beverages from biodegradable cups at PRM’s no-host bar, with proceeds directly supporting the music series. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own festival and lawn chairs, although limited festival-style seating will be available.
Muldaur is known for her 1974 hit Midnight at the Oasis, which received several Grammy nominations and enshrined her in the hearts of baby boomers everywhere.
