Impressive young artists to perform at East Bay Center for the Performing Arts next month

Public meeting on 12th and Macdonald project set for Thursday

The community is invited to come watch and support impressive local young artists who will perform next month at the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts.

The 7 p.m. performances on April 11, April 17 and April 25 will take place at the historic Winters Building, 339 11th Street in Richmond as part of the distinguished Young Artists Repertory Series.

On April 11, Son de la Tierra and West African Music and Dance Ensemble will put on shows. On April 17, Iron Triangle Urban Ballet, Voices of Reason and Richmond Jazz Collective will perform. And on April 25, the Richmond Chamber Ensemble and Iron Triangle Theater will take the stage.

The performers are all part of the resident companies program at the Center, which pairs youth companies alongside professional faculty and accomplished adult mentors.

“Students gain intensive experience performing cultural masterworks from around the world as well as in creating original works of theater, dance, music, and film,” the Center said.

Suggested donations for tickets are $15 for general admission, and $5 for children 12 and under, students and seniors 65 and older.
