Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) is bringing its Spring Job Fair to Alhambra High School in Martinez Sat., Feb. 25 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

The countywide event will feature “on the spot interviews” for current and 2023-2024 school year positions from 25 school districts, charter schools and colleges that will be on hand, per CCEOE. Reps will also offer info about university credential programs for attendees.

Full-time teaching positions, certificated support staff, higher education openings and substitute positions are all being sought by schools countywide. The CCCOE said that “Attendees should be prepared for interviews and sign-on bonus offers for hard-to-fill positions” and that competitive compensation offers will be available.

Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools Lynn Mackey said that “We continue to face teacher and substitute teacher shortages throughout the nation and state of California.” She added that CCCOE’s annual Spring Job Fair “is an event for new or seasoned educators and even those looking for a career change to explore a variety of education opportunities in our county.”
