Students invited to 2nd Annual Building & Construction Trades Career Fair


Local students are encouraged to attend the 2nd Annual Building & Construction Trades Career Fair on Saturday, April 21.

The career fair is for middle and high school students, grades 7-12, who will learn about careers in the building and construction trades, such as carpenters, electrical workers, ironworkers, painters, plumbers and more.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lovonya DeJean Middle School at 3400 Macdonald Ave., and will be attended by representatives of trade unions who will provide information about apprenticeship programs (jobs) for after graduation.

The Building & Construction Trades Career Fair is sponsored by West Contra Costa Unified Board of Education Trustee Mister Phillips, WCCUSD, the Contra Costa Building & Construction Trades Council, United Teachers of Richmond and the West Contra Costa Parents Council.
