Young people between ages 16 and 24 interested in becoming a leader and boosting their college or career readiness are encouraged to attend the free ServiceWorks bootcamp this Saturday, April 7, at Richmond City Council Chambers, 440 Civic Center Plaza.

The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with registration and a free light breakfast, and the workshops will begin promptly at 9 am. and run through 4 p.m.

The one-day event will feature workshops on resume building, public speaking, and leadership classes. Free breakfast, lunch, and door prizes are included.

All participants will have the opportunity to work closely with ServiceWorks members and Youth Leaders on goal setting and success coaching, according to organizers. The group will also be creating and completing blessing bags that will support the Bay Area Rescue Mission.

It’ll be a fun way to partake in leadership activities, service planning and college and career panels and workshops.
