College-bound high school seniors from West County are eligible for to apply for up to 20, $2,000 scholarships being offered by Travis Credit Union.
Each applicant must be a high school senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0, headed to a two–or four–year college or university, and a member of Travis Credit Union in good standing. However, students living in Travis Credit Union’s 12-county service region who are not yet members may join the credit union and apply for a scholarship at the same time.
The scholarship program was established in 2004 by the Travis Credit Union board of directors. More than $313,000 in scholarships have been awarded since.
Scholarship applications are available at any branch location or online at Travis Credit Union’s website at www.traviscu.org. Along with the application, requirements include a 250-word essay, a certified high school transcript and a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
Completed applications must be completed by close of business on Monday, March 5.
