The San Pablo EDC will host several local skilled trade unions, construction and energy companies, utilities, and training providers at this career fair. These industries all offer great salaries and benefits and generous retirement plans. The skilled trades are facing the mass retirement of many of their older workers, and they need lots of motivated people to join their apprenticeships. These are well-paid roles where apprentices receive on-the-job training and graduate into journeyman roles of greater responsibility and higher pay.
This event is free and open to all; the skilled trades are actively recruiting women, but their opportunities are open to everyone. The trades offer amazing opportunities and are especially favorable for younger workers who are looking for a sustainable-wage career path. The career fair will take place inside San Pablo City Hall on Thursday April 16th from 3-5 pm.
