The Hercules High School Titans Dance team achieved the highest honor at the Starbound National Talent Competition held in Hayward during the weekend of Jan. 30 through Feb. 1. The team earned the title of Overall Champion at the regional event, which is reserved for the highest-scoring group performance across the competition’s various categories.
In addition to the premier team award, the Titans secured multiple top honors for both their collective team routines and individual student performances, according to the West Contra Costa Unified School District. The district reported that the students, coaches, and families demonstrated significant dedication and hard work leading up to the event, which resulted in these high-ranking placements. The competition serves as a platform for local dance programs to compete for regional titles and potential advancement to national finals.
