Richmond firefighters doused a large homeless encampment fire in the area of Richmond Parkway and Castro Street early Sunday.
The fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. and contained to the encampment area without issue, according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, the union representing city firefighters. No injuries were reported.
The flames were contained to the encampment area without issue. The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
