No injuries were reported in a fire that broke out at a vacant El Sobrante home for a second time this year on Sunday, according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, the union that represents city firefighters.

Just after 11 a.m., crews responded to the home in the 4100 block of Miflin Avenue and confronted heavy smoke and flames erupting from the first and second floor windows of the home.

Thanks to coordinated efforts and reinforcement by additional units, the fire was brought under control within about 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
