For a fourth consecutive year, Middle College High School (MCHS), which operates on the Contra Costa College campus, earned a spot in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025–2026 Best High Schools rankings.

MCHS enables students through a dual enrollment program to earn college credits and graduate with an associate degree by high school graduation.

MCHS’s Class of 2025 saw an unprecedented milestone: 98 percent of graduates earned Associate of Arts (AA) degrees before high school commencement.

In recent years, MCHS has also been recognized as a California Distinguished School and received the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School title.
