A 12‑unit housing project is planned for the largely vacant northeast corner of Church Lane and Willow Road in San Pablo.
The “Church Street Apartments,” a project by Creekside Village, LLC and Lee Architecture, Inc., calls for six three-story townhouse-style buildings, each housing two attached apartments, totaling 7,161 square feet. Units range from 1,139 to 1,156 square feet, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms per unit.
Ground floors would include two-car garages and laundry hookups, with living and bedroom spaces arranged across the upper two levels. It would also feature 24 covered parking spaces plus a shared 4,315 square foot private park with a play structure, arbor, picnic tables, benches, and landscaping, including 31 new trees, shrubs, perennials and ground cover.
The project aims to build on a property that encompasses 27,385 square feet. The property previously contained a single-family residence on the eastern portion. There is an existing laundry room building for the adjacent Willow Mobile Home Park located in the western portion of the site. This facility will be relocated to the Willow Mobile Home Park once the project starts construction, according to city documents.
