The Hercules Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 21 to consider recommending City Council approval for a new Bayfront development featuring 171 row houses called “The Village.”

The proposal includes three distinct housing types, among them work-live and live-work townhomes situated on Blocks K, L, M, P, and O in the Waterfront District.

Residents and interested parties are invited to join the Planning Commission meeting and provide comments. All agenda materials—including site maps, architectural renderings, and project details—will be made available by July 17 on the city’s Legistar portal under the Planning Commission section.

The project is part of the broader Hercules Bayfront transit-oriented development envisioning nearly 1,500 units, retail spaces, offices, parks and public plazas. The development is linked closely to the Hercules Hub, an intermodal transit center, and is connected to the Bay Trail.
