Middle College High graduates record-breaking Class of 2025

Middle College High School celebrated an historic milestone this graduation season as 98 percent of its Class of 2025 earned Associate of Arts (AA) degrees—marking the highest percentage of AA recipients in the school’s history, according to the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD).

In addition, 95 percent of graduates earned STEM certificates, highlighting the school’s strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math education.

Every student in this class plans to pursue further education at either a two-year or four-year college, according to WCCUSD. The class also features two valedictorians and two salutatorians.

Established in 1989, Middle College High School operates on the Contra Costa College campus in partnership with the colleage. The school enables students to take college courses while completing high school. The program is designed for students who are motivated and underserved students in the local community.
