Caltrans will close two lanes in each direction on I-80 from Central Avenue to Carlson Boulevard from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9.
The closure will enable crews to conduct repairs that will “enhance the safety and structural integrity of the new median barrier” on the highway, according to Caltrans.
Changeable Message Signs (CMS) will provide advance notice to motorists traveling in the area. Minor delays may occur, and drivers are asked to travel with caution through the work zone. For updates, follow 511.org on Twitter.
