During Salesian College Prep’s annual Service Day on April 11, students, faculty and staff volunteered at a variety of organizations, from animal shelters to beach cleanups and local schools.

Among the projects was a major cleanup effort along Wildcat Creek that removed 980 pounds of trash.

“That’s nearly half a ton of waste out of the ecosystem and off the creek banks,” grateful officials with the City of San Pablo noted on Facebook. “Your hard work is making a real difference—thank you for helping keep our waterways clean and our community beautiful.”
