The City of Hercules will host its Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Hercules Community Swim Center Parking Lot at 2001 Refugio Valley Rd.
Festivities for the free event will run from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., culminating in the grand tree lighting ceremony at 5:15 p.m. Youth groups will perform, and community groups and business groups have sponsored craft stations. Enjoy cookie decorating, festive hot chocolate and a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and take a photo with them.
The community is encouraged to bring canned food items, gently used coats or unwrapped toys to the event to donate to local families in need.
“It’s always a joy to see our community come together to kick off the holiday season with our Annual Tree Lighting,” said Hercules Mayor Dan Romero. “This event brings families, friends and neighbors together to celebrate the festive spirit and reflect on the generosity and kindness of our community. We look forward to seeing everyone there!”
