The Hercules City Council adopted a resolution last week approving a new city logo.
The logo features scenic imagery of Refugio Valley Park and the classic Hercules quail.
Councilmember Alex Walker-Griffin lauded the new logo as “clean and airy.”
“I’ve grown attached to ‘Quentin the Quail,’ so that’s mandatory for me,” Walker-Griffin said.
Mayor Dan Romero agreed, adding that “the quail is Hercules.”
The city will incorporate the new branding assets in future communications.
“As Hercules grows, we came to the conclusion that our visual branding should reflect the new ways in which the city has flourished,” said Mayor Romero. “We have put a lot of thought and care into developing these new branding assets, and we are excited to share this revitalized representation of Hercules with our community.”
The city contracted with marketing and communications firm Tripepi Smith to help develop new branding guidelines, branded templates and a logo to complement the Hercules seal. Community feedback was sought during the design process.
