Allan Panganiban has been promoted as the City of San Pablo’s new Public Works Director/City Engineer.
He previously served as the city’s senior civil engineer since 2018, according to the city. Panganiban’s official start date in his new role was Wednesday. His annual base salary is $184,284.
Panganiban was promoted following an “extensive search,” City Manager Matt Rodriguez said in a statement.
“Mr. Panganiban is an accomplished municipal engineering professional with an impressive background with nearly 34 years of extensive local government and private sector experience combined,” Rodriguez said. “He already knows San Pablo extensively, and brings to this position a solid engineering and project management background in capital project management.”
From 2000 to 2017, Panganiban served in several engineering capacities in the City of Vallejo, including as acting/interim city engineer, senior civil engineer and associate civil engineer. He held a number of ascending civil engineering positions in private sector engineering firms from 1988 to 2000.
Panganiban earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1988.
