The Richmond Museum of History has launched a new Free Field Trip program for classrooms in the West Contra Costa Unified School District.

The museum at 400 Nevin Ave. hired an educator from Richmond to run the program and is now accepting requests from WCCUSD teachers to book a completely free field trip.

“The Free Field Trip comes with a guided tour through the permanent exhibit, a facilitated educational activity and a scavenger hunt led by a museum educator,” said Richmond Museum of History Executive Director Melinda McCrary.

This program is funded via the Economic & Community Investment Agreement (ECIA) grant program, a community benefits partnership between the City of Richmond and Chevron Richmond.

Those interested should complete this Field Trip Request Form and submit it to Call (510) 235-7387 for additional information.
