No one injured when Cadillac drives into Dress Barn in El Cerrito

No one was injured when a 1988 Cadillac sedan drove 35 feet into a Dress Barn store in El Cerrito on Monday, police said.

The incident was reported at 11:21 p.m. when officers responded to a report of a vehicle colliding with the front of the store at 430 El Cerrito Plaza, according to the El Cerrito Police Department.

“When officers, paramedics and firefighters arrived, they located a 1988 Cadillac sedan, approximately 35 feet inside the business,” police said. “It collided with the front plate glass window and then drove over several display racks and mannequins.”

The driver, who was not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, was not injured.

“ECPD officers and firefighters assisted with cleaning up the debris and securing a ride home for the driver,” police said.
