It’s Election Day!

For those voting at polling sites today, view the list of polling sites throughout Contra Costa County here. For those voting by mail, the county has set up drop-off boxes at all 19 city hall buildings, select branches of the Contra Costa Library and outside the County Administration building on 651 Pine Street, Martinez. Click here for more information on drop-off sites.

Also, voters can drop off their ballots at a drive-thru ballot drop off site, where voters won’t have to park, outside 555 Escobar St. in Martinez. The drive-thru will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Results of vote-by-mail ballots for the Statewide Primary General Election will be available shortly after the polls close at 8 p.m. today, according to the Contra Costa Elections Office.

Meanwhile, first results collected from precincts countywide can be expected at about 9:30 p.m., and results will be updated from then on about every 30 minutes until all precincts report, officials said.

Updated reports will be communicated via Twitter and Facebook, using the hashtag #cocovote.

Election results will be posted to the Elections website,, throughout the night and will be updated by 5 p.m. Friday, June 8, and then every Friday after until the election is certified.

The county has until July 5 to certify all items on the ballot.

Local election results will also be available throughout Election Night on Contra Costa Television (CCTV) beginning at 9 p.m. on Comcast channel 27, channel 32 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99.
