A woman was struck by a Capitol Corridor train in Richmond on Tuesday afternoon, according to Bay City News.

The woman was walking across the tracks at Cutting Boulevard near Carlson Boulevard about 1:50 p.m. when she was hit by a four-car, 68-passenger train that was traveling at about 70 mph, Richmond police spokesman Lt. Felix Tan told the news wire.

According to witnesses, it appeared she did not see the train or know it was approaching, Tan said. She hasn’t yet been identified.
