In celebration of National ParkRx Day, which promotes the prescription of parks and nature to improve health in cities across the country, Richmond is set to host an annual event this Sunday, April 29, offering free lunch, health screenings and fun activities.

The event is set to take place at John F. Kennedy Park at Cutting Boulevard and S. 41st Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is a partnership between the City of Richmond’s Community Services Department and Contra Costa Health Services and will include participation from a number of other agencies and organizations such as National Park Service and Rich City Rides.
