East Bay Center for the Performing Arts to host 50th anniversary kick-off event

Public meeting on 12th and Macdonald project set for Thursday

The East Bay Center for the Performing Arts is set to kick off its 50th anniversary year with a major celebration on May 12, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On that day, the community is invited to the center at 339 11th St. in Richmond to enjoy four straight hours of nonstop performances on three stages, featuring dozens of artists. See the flyer below for more information on who is set to perform.

Also, attendees can tap local food trucks, breweries, and winemakers that will be onsite selling special menu items.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the The East Bay Center for the Performing Arts’ performing arts programs and instruction that reach more than 5,000 youth and young people throughout the greater Richmond/East Bay community.

Performances are being underwritten by generous sponsors, including Fleishhacker Foundation Special Arts Fund, MAP Fund, and Zellerbach Family Foundation Community Arts Fund.

General admission tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite or by visiting www.eastbaycenter.org.
