The community is invited to Temple Beth Hillel’s Purim Festival, a fun-filled afternoon with games, crafts, kids activities and more.
The event is set for Sunday, March 4, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 801 Park Central in Richmond. Admission is free.
Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and masks and to bring noisemakers to an afternoon celebrating freedom from religious persecution. Along with the aforementioned activities, there will be a reading of the Megillah, the biblical story of the of Esther, and singing of Purim songs.
Home-baked goods, traditional hamentaschen (a three-cornered, fruit-filled pastry) and a tasty lunch will be available, organizers said.
