San Pablo police search for armed robbery suspects

San Pablo police are asking for the community’s help in identifying suspects who robbed La Esperanza Express at 1852 Rumrill Blvd. twice — in December as well as last month.

The first incident occurred Dec. 22, 8:30 p.m., when two Hispanic men wearing black-hooded sweatshirts, face masks and blue latex gloves entered the business armed with a handgun, police said. They fled with cash from the register.

It is believed that robbery is related to one that occurred at the store on Jan. 26 at 7:13 p.m., when one Hispanic male wearing similar clothing with blue latex gloves and a black handgun again stole cash from the register, police said.

Police released a video depicting the suspect from the January robbery.
