The Freshest Cargo Mobile Farmers’ Market is set to make its seasonal return to Richmond Feb. 7.

Every Wednesday, the farmers’ market on wheels will stop at the corner of Harbour Way and Nevin Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m, at 401 27th St. between Barrett and Nevin avenues from 11 a.m. to noon; and at 1443 Fred Jackson Way (parking lot) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Fresh fruits and veggies from California farms will be available for sale, with a 50-percent discount provided to recipients of CalFresh (SNAP), WIC, SSI or Medi-Cal.

The truck aims to increase access to fresh, quality produce in areas where it is not otherwise easily accessible.

Freshest Cargo also services San Pablo as part of a sponsorship by the city. It will make four stops in the city starting in April. Click here for more details.
