The West Contra Costa Unified School District is scheduled to hold its annual hiring fair — where it will offer on-site interviews for prospective classroom teachers and classified employees — on Wednesday, Jan. 10.
The hiring fair will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Pinole Middle School, 1575 Mann Drive.
“The District is seeking elementary and secondary teachers in science, world languages, math, social science, English, physical education, career technical education, and the arts,” officials said. “There are also openings for special education teachers, counselors, librarians, speech language pathologists, school psychologists, and nurses.”
Among the classified positions, the district said it needs classroom support aides, instructional assistants, licensed vocational nurses, food service workers, typist clerks and custodians.
Applicants should be prepared for on-the-spot interviews and thus should bring resumes and a list of references, the district said.
More information about the fair and a list of open positions can be found at www.wccusd.net/jobs. For additional information, call (510) 231-1185.
