A Richmond reunion at UCLA

It was a Richmond reunion — in Los Angeles.

UCLA shared this photo today of one of its best defensive players — safety Adarius Pickett, an El Cerrito High graduate from Richmond — hanging out with former UCLA defensive end Takkarist McKinley, a Kennedy High graduate now starring as a rookie for the Atlanta Falcons.

McKinley apparently stopped by for a visit, as the Falcons are set to take on the Los Angeles Rams in a wildcard playoff game on Saturday.

But that’s not the only interesting news today. Pickett also made headlines this week for becoming the rare example of a college player who decided to return for his senior season rather than declare for the NFL draft. While three other Bruins have declared for the 2018 draft, Pickett made this decision Thursday:
