A man driving a car stolen in Vallejo was busted in San Pablo after he “decided to pull out into traffic” in front of a police car, police said.
That police car was patrolling in the area of the 23rd Street corridor at about 6 p.m. when the stolen car appeared.
“Officers soon learned the vehicle was reported stolen out of Vallejo and initiated a high-risk traffic stop on the vehicle and its occupants near Wilcox Avenue and 20th Street,” police said. “The driver of the vehicle was arrested for vehicle theft and possessing a narcotics pipe. A passenger was also arrested on an outstanding felony arrest warrant. Both subjects were later transported to county jail.”
No injuries occurred as a result of the arrest, police said.
