A vigil is planned on Friday to mourn one of two people who were killed in a shooting in Richmond’s Hilltop Green neighborhood on Tuesday.
Hayley Flores, 26, of El Sobrante and her boyfriend Robert Bill, 24, of El Sobrante, were fatally shot inside a residence in the 900 block of View Drive in Richmond about 7:30 p.m., according to police, the Contra Costa County coroner’s office and news reports.
Two other victims of the shooting are expected to survive.
Richmond police have no suspects or motive, but say the shooting was apparently targeted.
Former schoolmates of Flores are planning a vigil for her Friday at Leadership Public Schools at 880 Bissell Ave., according to a flyer that’s been circulating social media channels (see the flyer posted below)
“These are the times we need to be together most,” vigil organizers said, adding, “We invite anyone to come share their stories and be together.”
Flores was described by many online as a happy person with a warming smile who could easily lift others’ spirits.
“Heaven got another angel. The good ones always go first,” one person wrote.
