San Pablo police seek public's help solving armed robbery case

San Pablo police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating an armed robbery suspect.

The department released surveillance video from the robbery that occurred at 8:21 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 at Handy’s Liquor store at 14301 San Pablo Ave., police said.

“The lone unidentified suspect entered the store pointing a gun at the store clerks as he walked behind the counter and fired two rounds into the cash register,” police said. “The suspect ripped the cash drawer out of the register and fled the store on foot.”

The suspect was described as a black man, about 40-50 years old, between 6-feet and 6-feet-2, weighing about 230 to 250 pounds, wearing a dark blue sweatshirt (with white draw strings), blue jeans and brown work boost.
