Where to honor veterans in Richmond, San Pablo
Local residents have several opportunities this weekend to honor military veterans.
Big events will occur at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond on Friday, Nov. 10 and at San Pablo City Hall on Veteran’s Day, which is Saturday, Nov. 11.
Salute to Veteran’s Day
On Friday, Nov. 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Craneway Pavilion at 1414 Harbour Way S.
This all-encompassing Veteran’s Day event includes historic exhibits, a Veterans Expo providing resources to veterans, a buffet, the ability to hear compelling narratives about Richmond’s rich history of supporting national war efforts and plenty of opportunities to thank veterans and active military members in person. Among them will be Richmond Mayor Tom Butt, a Vietnam War veteran.
There will also be education on how local and regional organizations are working to support veterans, including in workforce development after military service.
